I can’t imagine being someone else. Art is the way I’m communicating with the world.
Decision about creating art wasn’t an intentional one. Art is sort of genetically encoded in me. I am the son, grandson and great-grandson of artists. Art has always been a part of my life. My father was teaching art and art history at school, and he also had a studio at home, where he was conducting art workshops. I grew up around brushes, paints and paintings. Art, painting and sculpture were my everyday life. When I started studying art, I took up art seriously. Beginnings were difficult and I’d gladly destroy most of my early works, but despite that I appreciate all my artistic experiences. I think that I am currently at this stage of my artistic work that each of my creations is a result of experience, passion and hard work. The evolution of my work is based on implementing new techniques and experimenting with the matter. That’s why the more I create, the more surprising the effects are. My goal is to create something distinctive, recognizable and unique for me. I can’t imagine being someone else.
